Melting Characteristics of Iron Ore Fine During Sintering Process

The whole melting curve of iron ore during sintering process was obtained, and the melting characteristics of iron ore were defined and explained. The whole melting process of mixture, mixed by iron ore and CaO reagent at basicity of 20 and 40, respectively, was observed using a SiC heating furnace with camcorder unit, and the melting curves of mixture that were relative height vs temperature curves were obtained. Besides, the melting characteristics of iron ore during sintering were introduced through defining some points in the melting curves, such as liquid forming temperature, inflexion temperature and flowing temperature, and the meaning of different shapes of the melting curves was clarified.

Ability for SelfPelletization of Iron Ores and Magnetite Concentrates

A procedure for evaluating the susceptibility of raw materials for the process of sintering of ironore mixes is presented. The procedure relies on the evaluation of the amount and quality of the finest grain fraction. The method is based on determination of particular grain fractions. For the grain less than 015 mm, the determination of the amount is performed using an IPS (Infrared Particles Sizer) grain size analyzer and for the grain larger than 015 mm, the fraction is determined using the (wet and dry) screening methods. This allows for quantity assessment of the quality of material in terms of its susceptibility to selfpelletizing by calculating Total Ability for SelfPelletizing (TASP) index fT. The presented method, in combination with the grain size and chemical analyses, can serve for evaluation of suitability of raw material and mixes for the sintering process. Furthermore, the TASP index for 10 types of iron ores and concentrates was determined. The usability of the TASP index was verified by determination of its impact on yield of sintering process both in laboratory and in industry scale.

几种常见进口铁矿石的烧结基础性能

根据中国常见进口铁矿石种类,选择了8种进口铁矿石进行烧结基础性能研究,包括同化性、铁酸钙生成能力和液相流动性。探讨了烧结原料基础性能与铁矿石物理化学性能之间的关系。随着铁矿石中TFe含量的增加,A/S和Ig的降低,同化温度有增加的趋势。铁酸钙的生成能力随着Al2O3含量和A/S的增加而增多。随着SiO2含量的提高,Al2O3含量和A/S的降低,其液相流动性不断增加。

铁矿粉的烧结特性及优化配矿试验研究

以来自澳大利亚、巴西、印度、南非以及中国的6种烧结铁矿粉作为考察对象,分别研究其化学成分、粒度组成、颗粒形貌和气孔率,并对其同化性、液相流动性、黏结相自身强度和铁酸钙生成特性等高温烧结特性进行试验测定和因素考察。在该研究基础上,提出基于铁矿粉配矿特性互补配矿原则,设计了6组优化配矿方案,对混合矿进行特性研究,且烧结杯试验结果显示获得较好的烧结经济技术指标。

氧分压对烧结过程中二次赤铁矿生成的影响

作为改善烧结矿低温还原粉化性能的基础,通过对不同氧分压下的赤铁矿进行热重分析,并结合显微镜下面积法,研究了赤铁矿的分解和二次赤铁矿的生成机理.实验结果表明:二次赤铁矿生成过程中自身存在大量裂纹,是产生低温还原粉化的主要因素,而气氛和温度是影响二次赤铁矿生成的重要因素;实验还获得了不同氧分压下二次赤铁矿的生成规律以及赤铁矿、磁铁矿、二次赤铁矿之间的转化关系,为降低烧结矿低温还原粉化率,合理控制烧结气氛和烧结温度提供了实验依据.
