AN EXPERT SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER AIDED ALLOY STEEL DESIGN—ASPRES

An alloy steel pattern recognition expert system,ASPRES,has been established for the purpose of computer aided optimal design of alloy steel in compositions and process pa- rameters,Pattern recognition techniques are used to abstract inner relationship between mechanical properties and process variables.The ASPRES uses 2-dimensional graph as visual knowledge to represent domain expertise of specific object.Forward and back- ward chaining can be utilized by researcher in predicting sample performances or giving helpful suggestions about the chemical compositions and process parameters according to desired properties.

Experimental Study on Deep Desulfurizer in LF Process

Abstract: CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-CaF2-MgO was selected as the slag system for desulfurization in LF process. The reaction between steel and slag during desulfurization has been simulated by using Factsage software to study the influence of component on the sulfur distribution ratio. In order to research the influence of CaO content, aluminum powder content and its granularity on desulfurization, laboratory experiments have been carried out in a 200 kg inductive furnace. Results showed that the optimal composition of deep desulfurizer is wCaO=64% and aluminium powder 10% with a granularity of 30 μm. Industrial trials showed that the main composition range of final slag in LF process is wCaO=530%-570%, wAl2O3=234%-251%, wSiO2=81%-100%, and wCaF2=32%-47%. The sulfur mass percent in steel is lower than 00008% with a desulfurization rate above 89%. According to the result of industrial production, this desulfurizer could meet the production requirement for ultra-low sulfur steel, of which sulfur mass percent is under 00015%.

采用非线性反馈控制,用附加了带参数的正弦项对Chen系统进行了有效的控制.随着参数k的逐渐增大,系统的动力学行为呈现出一系列的变化.数值研究结果表明:随控制参数的增大,驱动信号的强度渐大,混沌系统由混沌运动到周期轨道,最终到一相点.

The morphology of the dark and bright regions observed by transmission electron microscopy for the Zr(64.13)Cu(15.75)Ni(10.12)Al(10) bulk metallic glass strongly depends on the ion beam parameters used for ion milling. This indicates that the ion beam could introduce surface fluctuation to metallic glasses during ion milling.

Improved Nonlinear Equation Method for Numerical Prediction of Jominy EndQuench Curves

Without considering the effects of alloying interaction on the Jominy endquench curves, the prediction results obtained by YU Baihai′s nonlinear equation method for multialloying steels were different from those experimental ones reported in literature. Some alloying elements have marked influence on Jominy endquench curves of steels. An improved mathematical model for simulating the Jominy endquench curves is proposed by introducing a parameter named alloying interactions equivalent (Le). With the improved model, the Jominy endquench curves of steels so obtained agree very well with the experimental ones.
