Rare earth application in sealing anodized AL-based metal matrix composites

A new method for corrosion protection of Al-based metal matrix composites (MMC) was developed using two-step process, which involves anodizing in H2SO4 solution and sealing in rare earth solution. Corrosion resistance of the treated surface was evaluated with polarization curves. The results showed that the effect of the protection using rare earth sealing is equivalent to that using chromate sealing for Al6061/SiCp. The rare earth metal salt can be an alternative to the toxic chromate for sealing anodized Al MMC.

A laboratory study of the atmospheric corrosion of carbon steel deposited with (NH4)2SO4 in the presence of SO2 is reported. The different levels of (NH4)2SO4 (0, 15, 30, 45, 60μg·cm2 were added on the surface of the samples before the exposure. The corrosion was investigated by a combination of gravimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscope and scanning electron microscopy. A detailed knowledge about the corrosion products was acquired, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results show that the metal loss increased and the increasing tendency of corrosion rates slowed down with the increasing exposure time. The phase constituents of the corrosion products are mainly α-FeO(OH), γ-FeO(OH), and δ-FeO(OH).

Corrosion Behavior of the Rare Earth Sealing Anodized Coating on Aluminum Alloy LY12

Technological process of rare earth sealing anodized LY12 (2024) alloy is introduced. Corrosion behavior of the film was studied by polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results showed that the coating remained passivity at the potential range from the open circuit potential (-780 mV) to –250 mV in NaCl solution. When the potential exceeded -200 mV, corrosion reaction happened on the coating. the results of EIS analysis was consistent with the results of polarization curves.

Study on the Rare Earth Sealing Procedure of the Porous Film of Anodized 2024 Aluminum Alloy

The rare earth sealing procedure of the porous film of anodized aluminum alloy 2024 was studied with the field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results show that RE solution can form cerium oxide/hydroxides precipitation in the pores of the anodized coating at the beginning of sealing. At the same time, the spherical deposits formed on the surface of the anodized coating created a barrier to the precipitation of RE solution in the pores. When the pore-structured anodizing film is covered all with the spherical deposits, RE conversion coating will form on the surface of the anodized coating. The reaction of the coating formation was investigated by employing cyclic voltammetry. The results indicate that accelerator H2O2acts as the source of O2 by carrying chemical reaction in course of coating formation. In the mean time, it maybe carries electrochemical reaction to generate alkaline condition to accelerate the coating formation. The porous structure of the film is beneficial to the precipitation of the cerium hydroxides.

Cu-Zr/ZrN薄膜体系的电阻率和纳米压入研究

采用磁控溅射方法在Si(111)基片上沉积Cu-Zr/ZrN薄膜体系作为扩散阻挡层.通过比较Cu-Zr/ZrN薄膜体系和三元非晶(Mo,Ta,W)-Si-N的电阻率,同时比较Cu-Zr/ZrN薄膜体系和Ta,YaN的硬度,说明作为扩散阻挡层的材料的选取,应从整体性能上考虑,而不能仅仅考虑热稳定性等单一指标.

Studies of the g factors and the local structure for Ni3+in LaAl0.9Ni0.1O3, La0.75Y0.25Al0.99Ni0.01O3 and YAl0.9Ni0.1O3

The electron paramagnetic resonance g factors and the local structure for Ni3+ in LaAl0.9Ni0.1O3 (LAN), La0.75Y0.25Al0.99Ni0.01O3 (LYAN) and YAl0.9Ni0.1O3 (YAN) are theoretically studied from the perturbation formulas of the g factors for a 3d7 ion of low spin (S = 1/2) in tetragonally elongated octahedra. In these formulas, the contributions to the g factors from the tetragonal distortion, characterized by the tetragonal field parameters Ds and Dt are taken into account. According to the calculations, the ligand octahedra around Ni3+ are suggested to suffer 2% relative elongation along the [001] (or C4) axis due to the Jahn-Teller effect.

非微扰QCD和核遮蔽效应对K因子的影响

考虑非微扰量子色动力学物理真空夸克凝聚效应,计算了碳核与碳核在质心系能量分别为630和200 GeV时碰撞Drell-Yan过程的K因子,以及加入核遮蔽因子后非微扰效应对K因子的影响,并把计算结果与没有考虑夸克凝聚非微扰效应的K值进行了对比.结果表明,非微扰效应和核遮蔽效应对K因子影响很小.
