研究了微波辐照下苯乙烯单体的超浓乳液聚合,结果表明,采用十二烷基硫酸钠和OP-10的混合乳化剂能制备稳定的超浓乳液.微波辐照可以加快超浓乳液聚合,50 ℃采用常规水浴和微波辐照加热3 h,苯乙烯单体的转化率分别为30%和60%.用大功率微波辐照可以实现超浓乳液快速聚合,480 W微波辐照在5 min内能使苯乙烯单体转化率达到64%.微波辐照合成的粒子粒径显著小于常规热聚合.微波对引发剂AIBN的分解无促进作用,但能被富含乳化剂的水相连续相强烈吸收,微波能在界面上集中可能是微波加速超浓乳液聚合的原因.
