采用金相分析、扫描电镜观察等方法对电子束焊接的乙烯裂解炉管焊缝开裂原因进行了失效分析。结果表明:裂纹的产生原因是在电子束焊接过程中形成了垂直于焊缝中心的柱状晶交汇线及焊缝中心线处贫铌导致大量碳化物析出,使焊缝中心明显脆化;设备停车冷速过快导致产生很大的应力,造成焊缝中心线处形成裂纹并扩展导致了开裂。

Failure analysis of welding cracking on ethylene cracking tubes by electron beam welding was carried out by means of metallographic analysis and SEM observation, etc. The results show that the reasons for the cracks formation were those the columnar crystals crossed line perpendicular to the weld center were formed during the electron beam welding and a large number of carbides precipitated from the weld joint centerline for the poor Nb, which led to the obvious brittleness. The high cooling speed after boiler shutdown led to great stress, the crack formed on the weld centerline and then grew and cracked.
