The breaking load has been the key parameter in measuring the quality of steel wire ropes. The influencing factors of breaking tensile test for steel wire ropes were studied based on GB/T 8358-2006. And it is found that the success rate of the test will be improved greatly while choosing proper clamping method and test machine.
