The changes of properties of infrared absorption of pure and magnetized water with elevated temperature are collected by a 670-FT-IR spectrometer in the regions of 3000-4000 cm(-1) and 7000-9000 cm. From the measurement we discover exceptionally that the magnetization effects of water in the process of increasing temperature are different from those in decreasing temperature. Moreover, water has also an irreversible effect during increasing magnetization time and demagnetization time. These results show that pure and magnetized waters have all an abnormal effect, although their sizes are different. This suggests that water is not an ideal liquid composed only of free molecules, but could have a more complicated structure of its molecules. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2010
