利用计算机模拟研究真空感应熔炼TiAl基合金过程中输入频率和功率对熔体流场的影响。以Ti45Al8Nb0.8B为实验原料进行模拟,结果表明,输入频率和功率仅影响流速的大小,而不改变熔体内流场分布。当输入频率一定,伴随着输人功率的增加,熔体流速明显增加;当输入功率一定,频率越高流速越小。为了验证模拟结果的可信度,实验测量了不同功率和频率下对应的熔体驼峰高度。经比较,发现模拟和实际测量驼峰高度相当,并且随着输入频率和功率的变化表现出相同的规律性,模拟结果可信。
Effects of input power and frequency on flow field in vacuum induction melting TiAl-based alloy have been investigated by simulation using finite element simulation software-ANSYS. It was found that the distribution of flow velocity was insensitive to increasing input power and frequency which only altered the values of flow velocity. It was also showed that the flow velocity significantly increased with the increment of input power at the same frequency and decreased with increasing input frequency at the same input power. With loading different input powers and frequencies, the heights of free surface profile were measured to confirm the validity of the model. A relatively good agreement was found in comparison between results from calculation and those from direct measurement.
