以慢速率拉伸試驗來评估硫化應力腐蝕,對於時效PH13-8Mo不銹鋼,其缺口拉伸强度(NTS)以及拉伸破壞特征的影響,實驗并利用電化學渗透方法來測定不同顯微組織其氫擴散速率、氫通量以及視固溶量.實驗結果顯示:所有時效試片對於硫化應力腐蝕皆展現出高程度敏感性.氫渗透結果指出,H800、H900以及H1000時效試片具有極爲相近的氫渗特性,然而相對於其他試片,H1100試片却表現出較低的氫擴散率、氫通量以及較高的固溶量.當試片時效温度低於1000°F時,類同的氫渗性質導致不同試片具有相同程度的氫脆敏感性,而H1100試片顯現相對較低的氫脆性.當試片時效温度低於1000°F時,氫被捕集在基地中而呈現準劈裂破壞的特征.此外,在H1100試片中由於存在着晶界沃斯田鐵,氫趨向於沿着晶界擴散并被捕集,造成試片在應變過程中産生了些許沿晶破壞.
