A new method - in-line digital holography for in situ observation of dynamic processes of electrochemical reaction is reported first time in this paper. The current oscillation at iron/sulfuric acid solution interface is a typical non-linear phenomenon in electrochemistry. and the oscillatory process is observed in situ with in-line digital holography. This technique has many advantages compare with traditional photographic holography and can yield more useful information related to the dynamic processes. Some primary results are presented here to demonstrate the application of this technique in electrochemistry. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
