采用机械合金化的方法,以Cu和Ti2AlC粉作为原料,制备了Cu包覆Ti2 AlC复合颗粒.研究了Cu、Ti2AlC体积比和球磨时间对包覆效果的影响,并将包覆颗粒与Al粉混合后采取干压成型、无压气氛保护烧结的方法制备了Cu包覆Ti2AlC增强铝基复合材料.实验结果表明,Cu体积含量为30%,球磨时间为10 h时,能制备出包覆效果良好的复合颗粒;球磨的高能量使Cu和Ti2AlC在垂直于Ti2AlC c轴方向发生机械合金化,从而使得Cu的包覆较为牢固;Cu包覆Ti2AlC增强铝基复合材料的烧结产物主要为Ti3AlC2、Al、Al2Cu、Al3 Ti和Al2O3,其复合材料较为致密,增强颗粒分布较为弥散.
Cu-coated Ti2AlC powders were prepared by mechanical alloying using Ti2AlC and Cu powders as raw materials.The effects of volume ratio of Cu to Ti2AlC and milling time on the Cu coating were studied.The cold press molding and pressureless,inert atmosphere protection sintering process were used to fabricate Cu-coated Ti2AlC powders reinforced Al matrix composites.The results show that the composite powders with desirable cladding effect can be successfully prepared with 30 vol% Cu and milling for 10 h.Cu powers react with Ti2AlC powers in the direction perpendicular to the c-axis of Ti2AlC,so that the Cu coating is firm.When the Cu-coated Ti2AlC powders react with Al powers,the Cu can prevent the Al from reacting with Ti2AlC.The reaction products include Ti3AlC2,Al,Al2Cu,Al3Ti and Al2O3.The composites possess high density,and the enhanced particles are well-dispersed in the matrix.
