In this study, the bone-cement with high porosity is strengthened by carbon fibers as reinforce materials. The crystalline composition of carbon fibers' surface and microstructure of the porous bone-cement were investigated by FTIR and SEM.And mechanical strengths were tested as well. The results indicate that Nitric acid oxidation not only enhances the infiltration and the activity of carbon fibers' surface, but also improves the interfacial bonding property, which improve the combination of interface between porous bone-cement and carbon fibers.Meanwhile, the strength tests show that both the length and the contents of carbon fiber could have effects on bone-cement mechanical strength respectively. Finally, the tic-tac structure system of carbon fibers could enhance the strength of bone cement.
