A cost-effective crystal growth method was studied to fabricate the relaxor ferroelectric single crystal of lead magnesium niobate -lead titanate (PMN-PT). The crystal of PMN-PT, 7mm in diameter was prepared, and its dielectric and piezoelectric properties measured are as follows:Tc ～170 ℃ Ec～340V/mm, ε～3500 (25℃ and 1kHz), and d33 ～1040pC/N.
