通过将铁粉包覆使其具有绝缘颗粒表面,成功地制造出软磁复合材料(SMC).不过SMC的磁性能并不能直接与传统叠层材料相比较.SMC材料受益于它的一系列不同性能,并不在于单个性能水平.利用三维磁路(在铁心结构所有方向上磁导率不变)的可能性,开辟了新的前程,特别是在永磁马达的设计上.设计与制造的SMC制品具有光滑的弯曲部分与很高的表面质量.SMC粉末技术也可用于提高制造的一体化水平,铁心与线圈可一次组装,无需在复杂铁心结构上绕线.目标是在某些应用上取代叠层材料,用于与叠层材料相结合的特殊部件,基于SMC构思发现新的设计.新材料与新改进以及为成功应用所做的新工具与技术开发,都不断提高SMC技术.
