Polymer dispersed liquid crystal(PDLC) films were prepared by photopolymerization induced phase separation(PIPS) with macro-initiator(MI) synthesized by reverse atom-transfer radical polymerization(R-ATRP) and crosslinking agent 1, 6-hexanedioldiacrylate(HDDA).The effects of MI and HDDA concentration on transmittance, threshold voltage(V_(th)), saturated voltage(V_(sat)), memory effect and contrast ratio of PDLC were studied. It is found that the on-state transmittance and memory effect increased with the mass fraction of MI varied from 5% to 10%, while V_(th) and V_(sat) decreases. In addition, contrast ratio increases at first and then decreases later. When the mass fraction of HDDA increases from 25 % to 90 %, the transmittance and memory effect decreased, and the V_(th) and V_(sat) increase at the same time.
