It is a preliminary exploration on the thermal effects of alkali metal carbonate as insolating-not-hot materials with low solar absorptance and high emittance in hot climatic regions. This material has a remarkable insolating-not-hot effect in hot climatic regions. Maximum increasing temperature of daytime insolution of this material is 2~3℃ lower than that of heat-reflecting coatings. Relatively decreasing temperature difference of nocturnal radiation cooling of this material is 1~2℃ lower than that of heat-reflecting coatings at night The cycle experiment of 24h is still consistent with the above results, and the price is low, wide resource, which confirm that it can be applied to the buildings in hot climatic regions.
