This paper discusses the way to activate building waste in order to increase the amount of waste used in building material products. Different admixtures are studied. The results show that the strength of hardened cement mortar with admixtures is higher than that without admixtures. For the mixture of 80% fine building waste and 20% cement, 1.5% Na2SO4 (in weight) is most effective to increase strength.
