以针铁矿(Goethite,GT)、锯末(成孔剂)和凹凸棒石黏土(粘结剂)为原料,在空气气氛下煅烧,制备出符合国家水处理标准的铁氧化物生物多孔陶粒(Iron Oxide-based Porous Ceramsite,IPC).利用所制备IPC的抗压强度作为评价IPC质量的指标,通过单因素实验、正交实验来优化IPC的物料配比和煅烧工艺,并通过XRD、SEM,偏光显微镜(Polarizing Microscope-PM),比表面积(BET-SSA)等技术来表征IPC孔结构特征及其特性.结果表明:IPC材料的孔连通性好,大孔孔径为10~20μm,抗压强度达到51~78 N,比表面积为79 m2/g,是一种以开放孔隙为主的多孔生物陶粒.在一定培养条件下进行陶粒的挂膜实验,结果表明,微生物可以通过IPC开放性子隙深入IPC内部附着生长,该多孔陶粒生物负载量高于市售陶粒和颗粒沸石,可望为曝气生物滤池提供新的功能性载体材料.
