用磁控溅射离子镀工艺制备了CrAlTiN多元复合涂层M2高速钢麻花钻,在于式切削条件下进行切削试验,研究其切削性能和磨损特性.结果表明,CrAlTiNN涂层可显著提高高速钢刀具的切削性能,延长刀具寿命.在钻削45钢和30CrMnSiA钢时,钻头平均寿命分别比未涂层钻头提高17.2倍和11.8倍.试验发现,CrAlTiN涂层钻头后刀面磨损的图形特征更为明显,在不同加工条件下各磨损区域具有不同的磨损特性.要充分发挥涂层的作用,必须合理地选择刀具几何参数和切削用量.
