At a uniform condition of forming membranes and a fixed weight polymer concentration, the flat porous membranes were prepared from the solutions by diffusion- induced phase inversion. The analysis of porosities, mechanical property and morphologies were investigated preliminarily. The effect of the volume con-tent of the solvent DMAc in coagulation baths and different structure of the segments of the similar co- polyurea macromolecule on morphological structure and the mechanical properties of the membranes were also discussed. The research results showed that the diameters of micro- pores increased gradually when the volume content of the solvent DMAc in coagulation baths changes from 40 % to 60 %.Accordingly, the finger- like macrovoids of the cross sections of these membranes structure trend to be reduced and disappear gradually, finally, to be re-placed by sponge- like voids. The structure of macromolecule has a great impact on morphological structure and the mechanical properties of the membranes.Three kinds of porous membranes take on asymmetrical structure. The porous membranes prepared by the different co- polyurea macromolecule have different morphological structure of top surfaces and cross-sections.Three kinds of co- polyurea porous membranes have different me-chanical properties and the aromatic co- polyurea membranes have the best mechanical properties.
