测量了钛宝石晶体在可见光至近红外区的吸收光谱,以及傅里叶变换红外光谱.主吸收、残余吸收以及氢氧根的振动吸收带的强度间的关系显示出:钛宝石晶体中的红外残余吸收不是由与钛离子相联系的结构缺陷引起的,残余吸收确实是Ti3+-Ti4+离子结对的结果.Ti3+-Ti4+离子结对的位置很可能位于基质晶体与晶体中异相物(TiO2)的界面区或异相内,即钛宝石晶体中的红外残余吸收是位于基质晶体与异相物(TiO2)的界面或异相物中的Ti3+离子的3d电子的能级跃迁的结果.
