研究了悬浮法制备短玻璃纤维增强聚丙烯复合材料过程中不同偶联剂的适用性及其对材料性能的影响。根据悬浮法工艺的特点,提出了适用的偶联剂品种和添加方式。探讨了悬浮体系中偶联剂对复合材料微观结构的影响和偶联作用机理。
Discontinuous glass fiber reinforced polypropylene composites were prepared by the suspension technique developed in this laboratory. Different types of coupling agents were used to assess their effects on the interfacial adhesion and mechanical properties of the GF/PP composites. Titanates coupling agents were found in efficiency due to the strong hydrolysis in the apueous suspension. Some silanes coupling agents with mild hydrolysis were found quite suitable for the suspension processing. The experimental results obtained by FIIR and SEM showed that the silanes coupling reagents reacted with the groups on the fiber surface as well as entangled with the macromolecules of the matrix, improving the interfacial adhesion and properties.
