本文采用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱，对掺稀土的光纤预制棒中稀土元 素（Tm， Er和Yb）含量的分析进行了研究。硅基体对待测元素有一定的背 景效应，可以通过扣除背景进行校正。本方法的回收率令人满意。
A method for determination of 3 kinds of rare elements in optical fiber preform by ICP-AES was developed. The background efflect of mat rix silicon could be deducted by background correction. The analytical results were satistactory.
