老湾金矿床位于桐柏—大别有色金属成矿带上,其矿体赋存于中元古界龟山岩组的斜长角闪片岩、斜长角闪岩及变质石英岩中.为增加矿产资源量,在系统总结老湾金矿床地质特征的基础上,运用物化探综合手段,发现已固定的矿体深部发育有Au、Ag、As、Sb元素组合异常,且位于磁、重力及激电异常梯度带上;为验证其深部的含矿性,施工的钻探工程已确认标高-900 m以下地层具有良好的找矿前景.

The Laowan Gold Deposit is located in Tongbai-Dabie nonferrous metal metallogenic belt,and its orebodies occur in amphibolie gneiss,amphibolie and metaquarzite of Pt2 Guishan Formation.Based on the geological characteristics of the Laowan Gold Deposit,it is found that there are anomalous combinations of Au,Ag,As and Sb in deep ore bodies,and they are located in the magnetic and gravitational and the gradient band of induced electrical anomaly.In order to verify ore-bearing properties in the deep ore bodies,the construction drilling project has been carried out,confirming that the stratum with elevation below-900 m has good prospecting potentials.
