分子基低温磁制冷材料因其可能替代稀缺昂贵的3He实现低温制冷而备受关注.由于GdⅢ具有较大的自旋基态、低自旋激发态和单离子各向同性,Gd基分子基低温磁制冷材料近年来发展迅速.结合本课题组近年来的工作及国内外相关的研究报道,介绍四类Gd基低温磁制冷材料的构筑策略:Gd簇分子基磁制冷材料、Gd基配位聚合物分子基磁制冷材料、Gd-过渡金属簇合物磁制冷材料、Gd-异金属聚合物分子基磁制冷材料;同时也对Gd基低温磁制冷材料的发展趋势予以展望.

Molecular magnetic refrigeration has received much interest due to the possibility of substituting the expensive and increasingly rare He-3 in ultralow-temperature refrigeration.Because of large spin ground state,low-lying excited spin states,and singe ion isotropy for GdⅢ ion,Gd-based magnetic refrigerants have reached great development.In this review,the basic introduction to magnetic refrigerants was given in the first section.In the following section,the construction strategy towards four kinds of Gd-based molecular cryogenic magnetic coolers (molecular cryogenic magnetic coolers based on Gd-clusters,Gd-coordination polymers,Gd-transition metal cluster,Gd-heterometallic coordination polymers) was presented based on the works of our group and other groups.Finally,the development trends of this area were evaluated.
